All telecom equipment must be submitted for approval before entering Brunei market.

The regulatory authority is Jabatan Telekom Brunei.

A local presence is required, and must have a dealer license which takes approx 1 month to obtain.

The type approval allows manufacturers to obtain an import permit.

Testing can be performed to Singapore or Malaysia requirements, however there is some additional testing on the real local network.
